This is a special moment for me. I was certified by Udacity with a front-end developer graduate certificate.

Why did I do it?

I pursued this course because I was not happy with the amount of coding I was doing with test automation.

What did I get from this course?

HTML, CSS, New coding standards, use of ES6 syntax, JavaScript, Asynchronous JavaScript, POST and GET routes using express, build tools including Web Pack for bundling and Sass for Styles.

Course Structure

The program starts with HTML, CSS, CSS with flexbox, and Grid. Thanks to Daniel Silber Baker for making this part easy and clear. Later parts of the course taught me how to use JavaScript to make a website dynamic, Using Get and Post with Express and async, promises. After building a dynamic website the next part was to understand build tools(Webpack for bundling) and Sass for styles. It was not all listening but building whatever was taught in practice, getting it reviewed, and making corrections was a more enjoyable part of the course which gave me confidence and making a strong foundation. I got the amount of knowledge to shift gears to start a career as a front-end developer. This is one of the items from my list of 32 before 32 that I accomplished.

Final Thoughts

I always had this feeling that front development is tough for me. To end the thought I’ve decided to go with this course. I really enjoyed the course and the journey was all great.
